Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

shiver

Synopsis

The Cold.

The Heat.

The Shiver.

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

My Review:

I Absolutely Hate Comparing This Book To Another, But I Haven't Read An Agonizingly Sad Love Story This Good Since Twilight. It Has Nothing To Do With Being Like Twilight, It Just Makes You Feel The Emotions, Again. I Am Still Shaking and Shivering From The Amazement That Is Shiver. From The Moment You Open This Book You're Instantly Swept Up Into This Amazing Love That's Impossible For You Not To Feel Yourself. The Longing, The Sadness. It's All There And Very Clear. Maggie Has A Wonderful Ability Of Writing In Such Amazing Detail, From the Emotions In One's Eyes To Their Body Language. You Will Feel The Emotions In This Book. I Truly Cried On More Than One Occasion. I Found Myself Floating And Tingling Every Time I Stopped Reading For A Moment. And When I Was All finished It Took Me Nearly 2 Hours To Snap Out Of The Fog. Sam And Grace Are Amazing Characters Who Have Not So Perfect Lives. They Overcome Their Pain With The Love They Have For Each Other. I Also Love That This Book Is Told In Both Sam And Grace's Point Of View. There Are Little Secrets And Lyrics Hidden In The Pages Of Shiver. The Other Characters In This Book Tie-In In Very Surprising Ways. This Book Will Leave You Satisfied But Craving The Next Installment. Although, The Book Is Entitled Shiver, It's Very Hot and Heavy In An Amazing Way. Twilight Can Reign Over The Vampire World, But Shiver Just Won Wolf Kingdom!! I Highly Recommend This Book!

Rating 5/5
