Synopsis:
In a future Chicago, 16-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life, a decision made more difficult when she discovers that she is an anomaly who does not fit into any one group, and that the society she lives in is not perfect after all.
My Review:
From Start To Finish, This Book Blew Me Away. I Was Literally Sitting On The Edge Of My Seat Anxious To Find Out What Happens Next. The First Couple Of Chapters Are A Bit Slow-Paced But Once This Book Picked Up Speed, It Really Sped Off Like A Dauntless Train! Veronica's Writing Style Is Perfect. She Has A Way Of Pulling You In And Keeping You There Long After You've Put The Book Down. It's Genuinely A Remarkable Debut. I Love Tris. Not Only Is She The Lead Character But She Is My Favorite. I Was Truly Impressed At How Weak She Started And How Strong She Was By The Ending. This Book Is Truly The Next Best Thing Since The Hunger Games. I Am HIGHLY Anticipating The Next Novel In This Series.
My Rating: 5/5
Synopsis:
One choice can transform you--or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves--and herself--while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love. Tris' initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable--and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.
My 5- Min. Review:
Picked Up Right Where Divergent Left Off. Absolutely Amazing. Fast-Paced And Heart-Pounding Moments. Tris And Four Are Even More Heart-Breakingly Beautiful Than Ever. The Ending Was Shocking And Scary! Can't Wait For More.
My Rating: 4/5

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
Synopsis
Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project, which is due—so unfair—on the day of the rival game. Cold and aloof, sardonic and sharp-tongued, Varen makes it clear he’d rather not have anything to do with her either. But when Isobel discovers strange writing in his journal, she can’t help but give this enigmatic boy with the piercing eyes another look.
Soon, Isobel finds herself making excuses to be with Varen. Steadily pulled away from her friends and her possessive boyfriend, Isobel ventures deeper and deeper into the dream world Varen has created through the pages of his notebook, a realm where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life. As her world begins to unravel around her, Isobel discovers that dreams, like words, hold more power than she ever imagined, and that the most frightening realities are those of the mind. Now she must find a way to reach Varen before he is consumed by the shadows of his own nightmares. His life depends on it.
My Review:
I Loved This Novel! Varen Is An Intense Character. Isobel Is Beautiful And Sweet. A True Golden Heart Lies Within Her. It Took Me A Couple Of Chapters To Warm Up To Her, Though. I Guess Beacause Of Who She Was Before The Novel Began. By The Middle Of This Book I Was Dreaming, Thinking, And Breathing It All In, Literally Craving It! Going To Class And Work Proved Very Difficult. I Hauled This Book EVERYWHERE With Me Beacuse I Was So Lost In The Depths Of It. Creagh's Writing Style Is Exceptionally Detailed; From The Characters To The Storyline. I Was Hooked After The First 3 Chapters. It's Only A Shame That We Have To Wait Nearly A Year Before The Sequel Comes Out.. Can We Please Have It Sooner??!
Rating - 5/5

Beastly by Alex Flinn
Synopsis:
A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright—a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.
You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever—ruined—unless I can break the spell.
Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.
My Book Review:
I Really Loved This Version Of "Beauty And The Beast." The Modern Touch To It Makes It A Little More Intruiging Than Other Versions, Especially Since It's Told Through The Beast's Eyes Instead. I Really Loved The Characters- Kyle (Adrain), Kendra, And Lindy. Kyle Really Does Morph From A Beast To A Beautiful Young Man By The End Of The Book. Kendra Really Is A Nasty Witch Who Becomes A Beautiful Enchantress And Curses Kyle Changing Him Into A Beast. And Lindy Is Just A Normal Girl Who Is Romantically Beautiful On The Inside And Out As Can Be (Straight Down To Her Jane Eyre T-Shirt..) The Life Of The Party (As I Call Him) Will Is Kyle/Adrian's Funny Witty Blind School Tutor. The Beginning Of The Book Is Told Through Kyle (The Young Beastly Full Of Himself Man) And The Second Half Is Told Through Adrian (Once Kyle Becomes The Beast He Changes His Name To Adrian) The Beast Really Transforms And Becomes A Prince Underneath. I Really Couldn't Stand Kyle But It Was Super Easy To Fall In Love With The Beast Once He Became Adrian. He Really Tugged At My Heart Strings By The End Of This Book.
Rating 4/5
My Movie Review:
I Was Given An Opportunity To See The Beastly Movie Before It Hits Theaters This Friday, And I've Gotta Say I Really Enjoyed This Movie. Alex Pettyfer Played Kyle/Hunter (In The Movie The Name-Change Is Hunter) He Played The Character Very Well! Vanessa Hudgens And Mary-Kate Olsen Both Fulfilled Roles As Lindy And Kendra. Will Played By Neil Patrick Harris Is Just As Witty And A Bit Funnier Than The Book.. I Do Not Want To Give To Much Away But I Will Say That The Movie Moved Pretty Quickly. Kyle And Lindy's Relationship Grows Pretty Fast, Just As in The Book. Although, To Me It Felt As If A Lot Was Left Out It Definitely Satisfied My Need To See This Movie. Whether You Read The Book Or Watch The Movie Beastly Is Definite Must Read/See!
Rating 4/5

Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin
Synopsis
The only thing Avery Hood can remember about the night her parents died is that she saw silver—deadly silver, moving inhumanly fast. As much as she wants to remember who killed them, she can't, and there's nothing left to do but try to piece her life back together. Then Avery meets the new boy in school—Ben, mysterious and beautiful, with whom she feels a connection like nothing she's ever experienced. When Ben reveals he's a werewolf, Avery still trusts him—at first. Then she sees that sometimes his eyes flash inhuman silver. And she learns that she's not the only one who can't remember the night her parents died.Part murder mystery, part grief narrative, and part heart-stopping, headlong romance Low Red Moon is a must-read for teen paranormal fans.
My Review
I Picked Up A Copy Of This Book On A Total Impulse Buy. I Saw It. Read The Inside Flap And Had To Have It. Low Red Moon Is A Heart-Breaking Story. The Story Immediately Begins Grasping You With A Story So Intense You Can't Blink. The More Chapters You Dive In The More Addicted To Devlin's Story You Get. I Found Low Red Moon On My Mind When I Wasn't Reading It And Even Dreamt About It Once! Avery And Ben's Relationship Does Move A Little Too Quick For Me But I Felt The Connection Between Them Was Meant For It To Be That Way. It Kind Of Reminded Me Of "Imprinting" From The "Twilight Saga." And Of Course A Small Tint Of Little Red Riding Hood. Their Story Grows In A Way You Aren't Expecting But This Book Has A Finale You'll Never Forget!

My Review:
If You Take Buffy And Make Her A Vampire, Add Some Selene From Underworld, And Add Some Grace From Neytiri From Avatar You Would Get Luna! Minus The Blue Skin. Luna's Dream Is A Very, Very Seductive Read, Not To Be Compared With Twilight. The Book Pulls You Into The Town Of Crescent City And Knocks You Into A World Like No Other. Luna Must Keep Her Vampiric Ways And Rules A Secret But Can No Longer Hold Them In. She Gets A Book And Begins Writing To Her Heart's Desire. It All Starts With A Dream. This Book Will Leave Readers Wanting To Know What Happens To Paul James And Luna's Relationship And The Fate Of The World. Luna Is Kick-Ass Strong And A Beautiful Faith Believing Vampire. Not Fragile Like Bella. I Can't Wait To Read The Next Books!
