Synopsis
The only thing Avery Hood can remember about the night her parents died is that she saw silver—deadly silver, moving inhumanly fast. As much as she wants to remember who killed them, she can't, and there's nothing left to do but try to piece her life back together. Then Avery meets the new boy in school—Ben, mysterious and beautiful, with whom she feels a connection like nothing she's ever experienced. When Ben reveals he's a werewolf, Avery still trusts him—at first. Then she sees that sometimes his eyes flash inhuman silver. And she learns that she's not the only one who can't remember the night her parents died.Part murder mystery, part grief narrative, and part heart-stopping, headlong romance Low Red Moon is a must-read for teen paranormal fans.
My Review
I Picked Up A Copy Of This Book On A Total Impulse Buy. I Saw It. Read The Inside Flap And Had To Have It. Low Red Moon Is A Heart-Breaking Story. The Story Immediately Begins Grasping You With A Story So Intense You Can't Blink. The More Chapters You Dive In The More Addicted To Devlin's Story You Get. I Found Low Red Moon On My Mind When I Wasn't Reading It And Even Dreamt About It Once! Avery And Ben's Relationship Does Move A Little Too Quick For Me But I Felt The Connection Between Them Was Meant For It To Be That Way. It Kind Of Reminded Me Of "Imprinting" From The "Twilight Saga." And Of Course A Small Tint Of Little Red Riding Hood. Their Story Grows In A Way You Aren't Expecting But This Book Has A Finale You'll Never Forget!

SHADE by Jeri Smith-Ready And GIVEAWAY!
Synopsis
Love ties them together. Death can't tear them apart.
Best. Birthday. Ever. At least, it was supposed to be. With Logan's band playing a critical gig and Aura's plans for an intimate after-party, Aura knows it will be the most memorable night of her boyfriend's life. She never thought it would be his last.
Logan's sudden death leaves Aura devastated. He's gone.
Well, sort of.
Like everyone born after the Shift, Aura can see and hear ghosts. This mysterious ability has always been annoying, and Aura had wanted nothing more than to figure out why the Shift happened so she can undo it. But not with Logan's violet-hued spirit still hanging around. Because dead Logan is almost as real as ever. Almost.
It doesn't help that Aura's new friend Zachary is so understanding—and so very alive. His support means more to Aura than she cares to admit.
As Aura's relationships with the dead and the living grow ever complicated, so do her feelings for Logan and Zachary. Each holds a piece of Aura's heart?and clues to the secret of the Shift.
My Review:
This Story Is A Really Good One. It Wowed Me. The Shift Is An Unknown Change That Occured That Led Everyone Born After It To Be Able To See Ghosts. After The Shift Ghosts Became Purplish And Are No Longer Seen In A Whitish Hue. Ghosts Now Can Become Shades - An Angry, Bitter Shapeless Spirit, Who Has Not Moved On Immediately. Aura, The Main Character Was Born On The Exact Date Of The Shift At The Very Exact Same Time. She's A Little Angry At The Fact That She Can See These Ghosts And Works With Her Aunt To Try And Solve Unresolved Deaths. She Can Not Find A Way To Block Out The Ghosts, And Is Also Seeking Some Way To Find Out Why The Shift Happened And How She Can End It. There Is Also An Amazing, Intense Love Story Here But I Don't Want To Give Too Much Away. You Have To Read It To Know What I'm Talking About. This Is A Book That Just Makes You Want To Talk About It. The World That Was Created For This Book And The Characters Jeri Created Are Heartfelt And You Can Fall Into This Story And Get Super-Lost In The World Of Shade.
I Highly Recommend This Book!

The Beautiful Dead: Jonas by Eden Maguire
Synopsis
Not alive...
Not dead...
Somewhere in between lie the Beautiful Dead...
When Darina’s boyfriend, Phoenix, is the fourth student to die from Ellerton High School, she feels her sanity start to slip away. Why fight when everything is bleak and gray? For Darina, there is no beauty left in the world. She is certain that she’s going crazy when she sees him, and the other high school fatalities, in an abandoned barn. But when Phoenix kisses her, she’s convinced he’s come back… to life? Jonas, Summer, Arizona and Phoenix have been guided back from death by the enigmatic and frightening Hunter, a “babysitter” for souls returned from the dead. The rules stipulate that they can remain in the world of the living for up to one year in order to set right a wrong linked to their deaths. In exchange for being allowed to see Phoenix, Darina agrees to help the undead teens find justice, starting with Jonas—whose year is nearly up! Keeping a barn full of animated, tattooed corpses a secret becomes increasingly difficult as rumors of ghosts and strange happenings rip through the small community. Grief stricken, the townspeople mobilize groups of bikers to explore the country around the town. Darina must discover who is behind Jonas’s fatal motorcycle accident—without becoming a victim herself—and keep the secret of the Beautiful Dead. She would sacrifice anything to help her beloved Phoenix find peace, but setting him free means losing him forever…
My Review
A-MAZING!! When I Went Into B&N On My Weekly Book Binge I Wasn't There To Pick This Book Up Intentionally, But I Saw The Cover, Read The Back And Had To Have It! This Book Is A Super-Easy Read. Sometimes I Felt Like I Was Reading The Main Character - Darina's Journal. Although This Book Is Very Popular In The UK I Hadn't Really Heard Of It. Boy, Am I Glad I Bought It! Darina Is Going Through A Really Tough Patch. She Just Lost Her Boyfriend, Her Best Friend Isn't Speaking To Her Anymore, Her Best Guy Friend Wants More From Her, And Her Mother Makes Her See A Shrink. To Top It All Off, One Day Of Wandering Around Leads Her To Find THE BEAUTIFUL DEAD. Four Dead Teenagers Being Run By An Overlord Named Hunter. And One Them Is Phoenix: Her Dead Boyfriend. These Four Souls Are Still On Earth To Discover What Happened To Them. How And Why They Died. Darina's Character Is Really Easy To Relate To. I Haven't Lost Anyone Like That, But I Understand What Makes Her Hold On To Phoenix So Tightly. And That's The Fear Of Being Alone. We Don't Really Get To Know More About The Beautiful Dead, Possibly Because Each Character Has They're Own Book. And So Begins A Whirlwind Of Suspense As Darina Tries To Figure Out What Happended To Jonas. The First Teenager To Die Nearly A Year Ago. And Time Is Running Out...
I Highly Recommend This Book!

Morpheus Road: The Light by D.J. MacHale
Synopsis
A new supernatural series that tells the story of a sixteen-year-old boy who is being hunted and haunted by ghosts.
My Review
The Light by DJ McHale Is The First Book In The Morpheus Road Trilogy. This Book Is An Awesome Read! I Was Hooked By Chapter 2. The Main Charater Is Marsh. The Book Begins With Marsh Speaking About The Prior Week And What's Happening Now. His Father Goes On A Business Trip And His Best Friend Goes Missing. The Story Begins Rather Slow But Picks Up Really Quickly In a Mind-Boggling Race. I'm Still Trying To Find Out What Morpheus Road Is, Although That Information Will Probably Be Revealed When The Other Two Books Are Released. Spooky things Begin Happening in His Home That He Can't Seem To Understand Or Explain. Marshall Invents An Imaginary Character, Gravedigger, Who Comes To Life Before His Eyes. Thrilling Horror Hides In Every Page As Marsh Trys To Find Out Where His Best Friend Coop Has Gone And Why Gravedigger Seems To Be After Him. This Book Is Like Encyclopedia Brown Meets The TV Show Supernatural. The Ending Took Quite A Turn And Was Told From Another Character's Narration, Which Is Awesome! This Book Locked Me In And Kept Me On Edge! I Believe It Will Keep You On Edge Too!
Rating 4/5

My Review:
Aaron Is An Average Teenage Guy, Until He Turned 18. A Foster Child With Quite A Temper, He Begins Having Terrible Nightmares. Two Men Appear To Warn Him About His Destiny. And So Begins An Adventure You Will Never Forget! Aaron Learns He Is A Nephilim, A Child Born Of A Human Female And An Angel. They're Seeking Aaron Out Because According To The Prophecy, There Is The ONE That Will Have The Fallen Angels Forgiven And Returned To Heaven. The Powers Are Not Too Happy About This And Are NOT About To Let It Happen. Who Could The ONE Be? You Have To Read To Find Out!
This Is A Special Re-Release Edition Of The First Two Novels In The Fallen Series. This Series Will Compel You To Adore It And Make Your Head Spin At The Same Time. Angels Are Quickly On The Rise! I Was Drawn Into This Book Not Only By The Cover But By Sniegoski's Wonderful Writing Style. they're Are Tons Of Surprises And Twists In The Plot That You'll Be Happily Lost in The World Of Fallen. I Haven't Read A Book This Good Since Last Year! I Already Pre-Ordered Book 2 In The Series (Which Is Actually Books 3 And 4 Bound Up Into One!) I Highly Recommend This Book! Especially if You Want To Deviate A Little From All The Vampires, Fairies, And Wolves!
