Synopsis:
Bianca wants to escape.
She's been uprooted from her small hometown and enrolled at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where the students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.
Then she meets Lucas. He's not the "Evernight type" either, and he likes it that way. Lucas ignores the rules, stands up to the snobs, and warns Bianca to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him.
"I couldn't stand it if they took it out on you," he tells Bianca, "and eventually they would."
But the connection between Bianca and Lucas can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.
RagDollVampGirl's Review
I Am Absolutely In Shock Over Claudia Gray's Debut Novel. Evernight Is The First Book In A Four Part Series. And I Am Dying To Read Stargazer Already. I Love That The Book Starts With Bianca Trying To Run Away. I Found It Funny When Lucas Chased Her Down "Trying To Save Her" As The Book Begins, You Suddenly Realize That Evernight Academy Holds Lots Of Secrets. These Secrets Just May End Up Tearinf Lucas And Bianca Apart. Once The Secrets Begin To Slip Out, The Book Picks Up Massive Speed, And Before You Know It, You're At The Conclusion. Although I Found The Book To Be A Major Cliff-Hanger, It Still Has A Lot Of Originality To It. I Thought This Book Would Be Like Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy. But It's Not. Claudia Has Created An Amazing Academy That Will Leave You Floored. I Definitely Recommend this Book To Anyone In Love With Vamps.
Rating 5/5
I Am Sorry That It Takes Me A While To Review A Book. I Have 2 Children That Make It A Little Rough. I Promise To Try My Hardest To Pick Up The Pace.
